Notes
- Do you ever wonder about
being in the right place at the right time?
Does the grass appear to be greener under someone else’s sky?
Do you wish you could change some things about the past? It may be
difficult to accept the past and embrace our purpose in the present.
But the present is all we have. The “present” is our gift to
celebrate!
-
- To make a difference in
the world around us. To love, to listen, and be compassionate.
To be a light to others. To
learn from the past, without regrets, and move forward with strength for today
and hope for tomorrow. To embrace
the journey right now and the lives we are affecting.
That’s what this CD is all about.

- A couple of years
ago, a dear friend invited me to be a guest artist at an event he was producing.
Wanting to share with me a favorite tune, I was introduced to what was to
become the theme song for the concert and the future title of this debut CD.
“For Such A Time As This,” composed by the talented Wayne Watson, was
inspired by a passage in the Book of Esther (Ch. 4:14) in the Old Testament:
“And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as
this?” Little did I know how the story behind this passage and the lyrics of
this song would manifest themselves, becoming a recurring theme in my own life.
- The
book of Esther recounts the journey of an extraordinarily brave woman, not born
into royalty, who gained favor with King Xerxes and was crowned queen. When Esther discovered that all the Jews in the kingdom were
about to perish, she went beyond the cultural and societal expectations of her
role and appealed directly to the king. With
great compassion, and trusting in the Lord to protect her, she risked her own
life and ultimately saved her people from certain death.
It is the story of a woman who lived fully in the present, with great
faith voiced the truth to the nations and a generation looking for God, and by
doing so became a mirror of His mercy and an image of His grace.
What a legacy. What is the
significance of Esther’s dramatic story in your world?
What are your destinies and appointments?
-
- It is my desire that this
music gifts you with a smile, stimulates a thought-provoking idea, encourages
laughter or perhaps evokes a tear. My
hope is that you will carry the gift that’s been given and share it with
others. May your spirit be
uplifted. May you be challenged and
inspired to make a difference in your world.
But equally as important, it is my hope that I will have conveyed the
greater message of love in these songs – the power of God’s transforming
grace and faithful love to you, and to me, right now – for such a time as
this.
